Immigration Software

Immigration software can really help get the paperwork you need for immigrating to the U.S. done quickly, accurately and for a fraction of the cost. Many individuals wanting to apply for a green card do not even know where to start. The legal paperwork and forms you have to fill out go on and on and seem almost foreboding at times. You can retain an attorney to help you, and if they are a good attorney who specializes in immigration, they can probably get the job done for you. However, if you are into the world of computers and have one available, along with a printer, there is a new option that has been on the market for a few years you might want to try. This option is immigration software.

If you go on the internet and search for immigration software, you will find there is a huge array of options available. Out of curiosity, I sat down at my computer and typed in "immigration software". I was utterly surprised to find 16,000 pages on the subject. As I browsed through the pages, I found there was large number of companies selling the software, many at reasonable prices. It seemed that most of the sites I visited had software in the $175 - $399 range.



Most of the software companies that developed immigration software, originally developed them for the use of immigration attorneys and other individuals or companies in immigration related businesses. Because of this, almost all of the programs you find on the internet are very proficient, and have the tools needed to get the paperwork done. Most of the programs basically combine official U.S. Government forms with step by step instructions. You will find the programs are very easy to understand and are mainly click on the form and fill in the blanks. You will of course have to read instructions as to which forms to use if you do not already know.

When using an immigration software program, this is the basic procedure. You will be presented with the list of forms used by the immigration department. When you see the form you need, click of it and the form pops up. Along with the form is the complete instruction page which gives the use of the form and required evidence to back it up ( for instance if you have checked "divorced" on a form, you will need to supply your divorce papers along with the form). The instructions will also tell you where to send the form along with other information.

If you purchase an immigration software program, you should be able to save yourself a nice sum of money. Even if you use an attorney who works by the hour to deal with the immigration department for you in the final stages of the procedure, think how much you will save by taking him all needed forms, completely filled out and with all supporting paperwork that needs to go with each form.

Also, with a little research and speaking to some immigrants from your country, you may be able to take the package you have prepared with your immigration software to an organization that specializes in helping aliens obtain their green cards for no charge. They will be thrilled and impressed that you have already done much of the needed preparation.
